Fishing Report

05-10-08

I know a lot of you are reading this report, so get your date on the books and lets set up your trip!!!! The lake is in great shape as we go into the summer season!!!!

Bass fishing on Fork has pretty good!!!  Surface temperature is in the lower 70's main lake. Lake is back to normal.  Try a watermelon seed baby brush hog light bullet weight around the spawning flats. I have been dipping the tail in a chartreuse dipping dye. Also a carloina rig using a fry on main lake points is working!! Now the top water biter is going around some parts of the lake. Look at the photo sections. The last few pictures are top water fish. Think about that for next year, we have a very good top water season on Fork.   Crappie are moving back to deeper water after the spawn. Catching a few under the 515 west bridge on jigs in about 15-20 ft of water. Give me a call if you want use my guide service Lake  Fork for bass or crappie.

This may sound silly but its time to book your fall trip. Late Sept, all October and early November is very good fishing on Fork for numbers!!  So lets get your trip set up.

I found a new product & I am telling you it really works and holds the scent.  It's a garlic oil dippin dye fish attractant. We use dippin dyes all the time on the plastics we throw. This  scent also is suppose to work on other baits like jig skirts. If you order some you will love it !!! You can check out this fish attractant at www.jjsmagic.com   If you call and order any of the dye, tell them you saw it on my web site!!!!
