I make it easy to come fishing!! I can furnish everything for the trip, including rods and reels, baits we will be using and drinks and snacks. All this is just part of the service I furnish on your trip. All you need to do is come get in the boat and have a great day fishing!!!!!

For the crappie fisherman, December, January and February only you must keep your first 25 you catch. Good time to take a mess of crappie home. Not that you cannot catch them any month, but those times are when you do not have to throw back any fish. I put out brush piles for us to fish over. Crappie love brush so if they are slow at the north end of the lake we have brush at the south end of the lake to try. We use both jigs and minnows in the brush.

For all of you reading information on my web site, check the fishing Report at end of web site!!!

Don't forget, a fishing trip makes a great gift!!  I work hard to insure you have a great experience using Lake Fork guides on your  fishing trip. I promise, you will not spend time on the community fishing holes, but fish my prime spots, including brush piles, which I personally put out for my clients. I want you to have such a great time, you will  consider using my guide service each year, not  just as a one time event. Making good friends is what it is all about!!

Policies

When using my lake fork guide service, I encourage catch and release when fishing for bass on Fork, and we use artificial lures only.  Your big bass can be measured and photographed.  Lake Fork's current regulations on largemouth bass is a 16" to 24" slot length limit.  Bass within those lengths must be released.  The daily limit is 5 bass, only one of which can be over 24".  Crappie limit is 25 per day per person, and must be 10" or longer to keep. During the months of December thru February, you must keep the first 25 you catch.  I do not clean your crappie, just bring an ice chest to take them home in.

Lake fork Fishing Report

Fishing Report

02-05-12

The lake is about 6' below normal.   Surface temp is 52 degrees. Caught bass on black worm rigged texas style in 5 ft of water on a hump. Biggest bass coming on orange belly, red sided suspending crank bait throwing past standing timber. Catching bass more on main lake structure than in pockets. This coming week weather above normal temps.

Crappie bite is fair. Crappie are on the move. Was catching them on the flats in the mouth of Little Caney but they are now moving in the channel towards the east arm. Caught crappie in 39 - 44 ft of water using minnows. Had to move around to get a mess. This is the time of year you must keep your first 25 no matter the size. Try under the 515 east and west bridges and the 154 bridge.

I will be at the Dallas boat show the first 2 weekends of Feb. Come by my booth and lets talk fishing or set your 2012 bass or crappie trip up. Booth 954
