My Lake Fork Fishing Guide Service offers day trips for individual, corporate, or group sized parties on Lake Fork Tx. You may use a credit card to pay for your guide trip or lodging. I also offer guided crappie trips from May thru December. And by the way crappie fishing this month has been good fishing over my brush piles!!! This is the lake where just one cast can get you a trophy bass or crappie. Summer and fall is a great time to catch crappie and for those too young to catch bass, catching a crappie is something all kids will enjoy. Just bring your filet knife and ice chest and take home a mess of great eating fish. I put out my own brush piles to fish around not just sit under the bridges where everyone else goes!!!

About Lake Fork
Lake Fork tx is located 75 miles east of Dallas on Lake Fork Creek, a tributary of the Sabine river. It was impounded in 1980 and completed filling in 1985. Lake Fork covers 27,700 surface acres. The current state record largemouth bass (18.18 pounds) was caught from Lake Fork in 1992.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department began stocking the reservoir with Florida largemouth bass in 1978. Biologists state that Lake Fork is one of the 5 lakes in the nation where the next world bass will be caught. So what are you waiting for, come fish Lake Fork Texas.
Of the 50 largest bass on record for the state of Texas, 36 (all of the top 6 bass) are from Lake Fork. Number 17 & 28 on the list of trophy bass, was caught from Lake Fork in March of 2002. One of those bass weighed 16.12 and the other was 15.65lbs. Consider using my Lake Fork fishing guide service to have a chance to get your name in the record books. When using my lake fork guide service, I encourage catch and release when fishing for bass on Fork, and we use artificial lures only. Your big bass can be measured and photographed. Lake Fork's current regulations on largemouth bass is a 16" to 24" slot length limit. Bass within those lengths must be released. The daily limit is 5 bass, only one of which can be over 24". Crappie limit is 25 per day per person, and must be 10" or longer to keep. During the months of December thru February, you must keep the first 25 you catch. I do not clean your crappie, just bring an ice chest to take them home in.

Bass fishing on Fork has improved in the day time. It has been hot on the lake after lunch. Water surface temperature yesterday was 82 when we started and when we finished it was 86. But the good news the surface temperature was 92 degrees before we had this first cool front. If you are on the lake very early (6:30AM) you can find bass biting where you see shad working. There are big schools of shad working along the main lake grass lines. A small shad colored crank bait shallow diver is working. I have found bass in shallow and deeper water. Early morning try using a white buzz bait in the shallow water around lily pads and broad leaf weeds growing in the shallows. Also throw a texas rigged trick worm watermelon red and a 1/8 oz bullet weight in the shallow cover. A wacky worm in 3 ft of water is also working. Also a split shot and a super fluke is working along main lake grass. For the deeper bite, 20-24 ft try a Texas rigged baby brush hog in watermelon red and dip the tail in chartreuse dye. One thing for sure, if you are pre -fishing for the upcoming Big Bass Splash look for grass and shad. You will find money fish feeding on the shad early morning. After the sun gets up move deeper with the plastics. If you need someone to help you pre- fish let me know. You can learn a lot in a half day fishing!!!!
Crappie fishing has also been slow. If you know where some brush piles are located in 20-24 ft of water, try jigs and minnows. Also catching keeper catfish on minnows out of the brush piles.
